Happy Warm Wednesday Afternoon to You All! (Thought I better get that in before tomorrow! L)

I wanted to update you on some things that are brewing in the area of Small Groups at TSCC:

·       $350 was raised by the small groups at TSCC to donate to the Kenny Hill family; this money was used to purchase gift cards from Wal Mart and Lowes.  As Max stated earlier, your generosity was a blessing to these folks thank you for responding!  This would be a great family to befriend, where they could see authentic Christianity lived out in your life.  An invitation to lunch might very well end up becoming an invitation to your small group who knows?

·       Hopefully youve had a chance to look over the Serendipity catalogs there is a lot of good stuff in there.  If you want to purchase materials for your group, and think there are some who might not have the extra money to pay for the material, please get with me and well see if we can figure out a way to help.

·       Due to the Living Stones visit, an out of town commitment that I have, and the Childrens Christmas program, we will NOT have a SG leader training event in December.  If your home is like mine during the holidays, you know what Im talking about when I say Life is crazy right now.

·       At the January SG leader session, Id like to begin brainstorming alternative styles of SG settings, topics, formats, etc.  Let that thought simmer for awhile, and be ready to help me think through this idea.

·       With Kyles resignation from TSCC, we have a SG in need of a leader.  I will be contacting that group to see if there is a leader from within their ranks ready to take the reins.  But if not, this might be a good time for someone in your group to step up.  Ill keep you posted.

·       TSCC Leadership is considering a church-wide study of the book In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day by Mark Batterson.  While this isnt official yet, if we did pursue this study, I would think our current SGs would be a logical place to roll it out.  For a look at this book, check out these links:

That’s it for now – thank you for all you do to help make disciples, as Jesus taught.  May we be known as a people of God who believe that Life is Better Together!

Peace of Christ!
