TSCC Pastors

Lead Pastor, Jim Valentine (far left)

Jim has been the Lead Pastor at TSCC since January 1, 2016.  He and his wife have 3 children.  He is not a "traditional" minister, having been in federal and state law enforcement for much of his working career.  He brings this experience, coupled with his calling and equipping, to encourage and equip others in carrying out the Great Commission here in our community.  Prior to coming to TSCC, Jim was the Discipleship/Groups/Adult Education Pastor at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Bedford.  The fire in his spirit is to see men and women become disciples of Jesus, not just church-goers (do-ers, and not just hear-ers), and his preaching reflects that fire.  Jim is a Lawrence County native, graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School, has a BS in Mathematics from Indiana University, is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Academy, the Indiana State Police Recruit Academy, and holds a Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Masters International University in Evansville, Indiana.  He's lived in Bedford, Mitchell, Plainfield, and Versailles, Indiana, as well as Miami, Florida, and Glynco, Georgia.  All that to say, he's been around a bit.
